He is trying to fix his relationship with his wife, and ignoring you makes it easier for him. He fills that he has to do the right thing. He might still have fillings for you but it doesn't mean he is going to leave his wife... Sorry

Men do not always see things through our eyes, or read our minds either. If they did we probably would not be able to catch one. Looks like the trap you set did not catch his head , as his wife has the important part of him, the part that has a concience.
